Background: Dr. Mlimuka is an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania since December 1989. He was also a Senior Lecturer in Law, at the University of Dar es Salaam for over 30 years. He is a certified Board Director with the Institute of Directors of Tanzania (IoDT). He did his LL.B & LL.M studies at the University of Dar es Salaam in 1983 and 1986 respectively. He later did Postgraduate Diploma in International Law and Organisation for Development at the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, 1989 and thereafter LL.M (magna cum laude) at the University of Hamburg, 1992 and Dr. Jur (magna cum laude) at the University of Hamburg, 1997. Before joining the Association of Tanzania Employers as Executive Director in January 2006, he worked as a National Project Coordinator for an ILO Project on Strengthening Labour Relations in East Africa (SLAREA) in Tanzania from April 2001 to Dec. 2005. Dr Mlimuka is a member of various Boards in Tanzania.
